so, I worked out mathematically that a rabbits foot is indeed lucky - because I always wondered about that.
if a = good luck b = bad luck
killing someone is bad luck, and the rabbit. having potential for both = a+b
then the lucky rabbits foot = (a+b)-b = a and the lucky rabbits foot will bring you wealth and joy.
or if you consider only luck = x, rabbit = x, and catching it, killing it, cutting off its foot is really bad luck;
then the lucky rabbits foot = x - 2x = -x, and the lucky rabbits foot brings you nothing but pain.
there are many more proofs, all dependant on a different definition, I can't decide which is more true.
It all started with a story:
once upon a time there was a rabbit and a frog. The rabbit studied hard but the frog did not, when it came time for exams the rabbit ate the frogs legs because if the frog had studied it would have known that rabbits eat frogs legs.
My roommate is a frog
I am a rabbit
If I do well, I get to eat her legs, but, roommate is superlucky - she must have a lucky rabbits foot...OH MY GOD SHE HAS MY FOOT UP HER ASS!!!
Ahhh....good times in rez.
