I miss Final Fantasy 3.
I miss Chrono Trigger.
I miss Lufia.
I miss Earth Worm Jim.
I miss Donkey Kong.
I miss games with substance and personality, and depth. Super Nintendo was the king of pushing the limits of story telling, since they didn't have fancy graphics, or touch sensitive button mechanics, or online service. Heck, back then online wasn't even a concept.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying todays games don't have those things, but I'm saying their just becoming less and less. You didn't have 45 minute cut scenes, or voice dialog, that came out of your head. You had 8 buttons and that's all you needed. Now it feels like their trying to cram as many buttons onto a controller as possible (The Wii is much simpler, however) And games lack that certain sparkle of depth to them.
I dunno, maybe I'm wrong, I'm just somewhat sad that new gamers will miss the joys and magic of Mario RPG, Link to the past, and other such treasures, for partical explosions and realistic character render.
