Just saw your post and instantly had to head over, also with you mentioning that particular short film, know it, too.

This is a perfect J2 version of it. And poetic, so tender and sensitive. Yet bitter. I suffer along with Jensen in the story.

It's sad to see them like this, but you can still feel how they tell themselves that like this is better than not at all. Like they said, they can't let go. And this whole situation they're in hurts (for the reader, too), but it's the good kind of hurt.
