As many of you may know, I'm a huge video game nerd. I know the history of video games very well. It inspired me to become a programmer. About 2 hours ago I found the marketing proposal we sent the third largest video game publisher in the world and it enraged me. I passed the images around to some of my gamer friends and they said the only way they would even consider it would be if it was in the us$2 bin. I agree with them.
I know the woman who made these offensive images. She's a joy to work with and usually produces high quality work. I understand that she does not have the emotional investment in video games that I have. That's good, it means interacting with people who have a different perspective on life. But the images she produced offend me. I've the feeling that she was under orders from uninspired hacks who are her direct managers.
My question to you is how do I deal with ,in a positive manner, this situation. I'm offended (well maybe I'm being a tad dramatic) but I don't want to be totally brutal to a respected colleague.
Your advice would be much appreciated.
