Sometimes I think that gay men (in general, obviously, not all of em) are even less accepting than straight people. Bleh. Are you actually friends with this person, cause they kinda said that they don't actually like some ftm but "can stand" them. How rude is that??

There's something I'm not getting about your argument, though. You said that gender is a social construct, which I agree with, but then you say that men and women have completely different thought processes that are inherent.... I don't really get how those two views work together. What is the difference between the 'female' thought process and the 'male' thought process? Do you think that these are biological and not cultural? How come?

p.s. I don't mean to pick on you but I honestly am curious about what you think about that :) You know me and my argument picking.

*hugs* I'm sorry you have to put up with people who aren't even willing to listen to what you have to say!

Also, his argument doesn't make any sense... he says he doesn't believe there are many differences between males and females (though he doesn't say what they are), but also that he doesn't "except" transmen as men. If there aren't so many differences between them, why wouldn't he accept transmen as men? Oh right, it's "just a fealing".

AHHHHH!

Yeah, this is pretty blatant intolerance - or willful ignorance. A girlfriend of mine once told me that despite hating bisexuals (not homosexuals or heterosexuals), that it didn't apply to me because it didn't "feel" that way. Go figure.

If I may step in with a little opinion of my own - I think there's more a case of gender identity. At least, that's what it feels like to me. People who feel themselves to be male, female, both, or even gender neutral. I know a few people like this, and tend to talk about it a lot when I do meet someone new - because I think that a gender identity is different from having a certain set of thought processes ( ... )
