Achtung, Hollywood!

I have a few suggestions, Hollywood:

1) A moratorium on use of the song "Who Let the Dogs Out" in kid's movies. The movie doesn't even have to involve dogs anymore for this song to appear in it! Have we sunk so low, Hollywood?! Schande!!

2) While you're at it, no more kid's movies about dogs that talk and/or play basketball. Are we really to ( Read more... )

Rene Zellweger is hot to anyone who had Cabbage Patch Kids. But seriously, she's okay...good actress, I don't care. Chicago was watchable only because of Catherine Zeta though (Queen Latifah too). Imagining that Rene is a stunner pushes the limits of reason.

Kelly McGillis, Alison Doody, or Karen Allen are more my speed. They played sexy, smart, and rational characters. Today's movies are just pushing the feminism too far (over-kill) and skimping on Real Romance. Making girls like Brittany Spears seem attractive, physically and intellectually, is morally wrong. Give me Molly Ringwald any day of the week.

I'm afraid I can't go with you on Molly Ringwald. She has never looked quite healthy to me. She looks like she secretly has a mouth full of shit to me. Ally Sheedy too. One day I will write an unsexy screenplay for Ally Sheedy, Sigourney Weaver and Leah Thompson.

It seems to me you're trashing on all the skinny actresses. What's your take on, um, janine garafalo or sandra bullock? How about Kate Winset? Is it strictly non-anorexics what float your boat?

If so I'm totally with you.

Your mom looks pretty thin naked. And I won't allow your preference for ugly chicks to sway me.

Heaven forbid my preferences sway you from your normal rounds of picking up ladies at the fat farm. Someone needs to take one for the team...

I'm definitely pro-anti-anorexics. In fact, I almost included a rule about Hollywood expanding the availability of Kraft services to, say, an Angelina Jolie or a Christina Ricci. That being said, my particular problem with the actresses mentioned is not so much that they are too thin as that I just don't think they are at all attractive. Of course, having the body of a young boy doesn't help things any. As for Janeane Garafalo, I used to really have a thing for her but now I find her kind of annoying. And Sandra Bullock hasn't done anything for me since Demolition Man. Kate Winslet I can deal with although I prefer Cate Blanchett. It's difficult for me to extricate an actress from her performances during my evaluations so I tend not to like shitty actresses even if they are hot. Similarly someone who I would normally consider under par can score big points with me in a good acting turn. Lucky devils.
