we made a very retro green bean dish with sour cream and such. yay joy of cooking 1965.
and we had our first adventure with spanokopita. from scratch. with salmon! but we couldn't find filo and used jew pastry dough instead. mm mm good.
in the back of the van. sackley, mr. p and the unibomber.

almost thar on the drive from MIT to the lake. our last stop in lake placid, featuring sir bigsley and the emlette. and our turqouise van.
where we lived for a week in hijinks-filled hilariously close quarters. *cough*
we had and upstairs porch off of my room. sweetly filled with toys for visiting girls and boys. emma stopped immediately to nurse.
one day we took an aimless drive where i saw orange shrooms.
we tried to smile in front of the man-made "falls" but it came out icky...
...but not as icky as this purposely 'scary old lady' smile emma taught me.
behold the most perfect tendril at the end of one of my dreadses!

i went to an antique shop on our day trip to lake placid. lookit all the KEYS! you'll see what i bought/made yet...
at the beginning of 'pirate's cove adventure mini-golf' baby! i'm holding a club and ball. and am way excited. even if i'm wearing my hippie sunhat and not my capt. jack hat.
i think i tied for last. someone owes me a cake i believe was the contest.
on our last day. chris is menacing a duck.
chris taught me how to skip stones! LOOKIT US GO! a lifelong and amelie-esque dream realized!
