Friday and the chores of voting
Friday is now officially update day!
Yes it’s the only time I have to update. For some reason I cant log on to certain sites including my IM and hotmail. I don’t know if it is random or it occurred when I "fixed" the computer. The computer is running so much better now and actually shuts off by its self. I don’t have to beat it with a baseball bat every five seconds but now this? I’m not sure yet how to fix this one. I could call AOL... but yes that is soo much fun and I would like to enjoy my Friday off not spend it trying to find someone on AOL that speaks English an knows the least bit about computers.
This the first year I actually had to go to the polls to vote. The people screwed up when I asked them to mail them. It was strange because I voted for something I would not normally have voted for. I voted yes on increasing the sales tax 1% to increase funding for the schools. Its one of those out of site out of mind and it doesn’t effect me things. But there I was at the polls in a elementary school that looked Identical to lake Spokane that I attended for two years. They had the same exact dictionaries, same tables, and chairs. All this technology and I saw two computers. I don’t understand how we expect children to keep up with modern demands if they are not given the resources. So I voted yes. Of course it didn’t pass. Nothing around here passed that was going to cost the tax payers money. Needless to say I was disgusted with the election on almost all levels. I was excited to see the support the gay community got from the voters in Oregon. No it didn’t pass but it was a close one, and that says something.
Tonight should be fun Steph is coming down from Seattle and we are going to joleine’s party. Hurray for the weekend!
