Well, thankfully Friday I woke up feeling much better! In light of that I did nothing...kidding...I went to work. Considering I work on campus, it wasn't very strenuous. But anyways...! Dane took me to pick up my car, which sadly did not get fixed and has to be taken in again tomorrow. After that we had some lunch and I went for a ride with the cycling club. I had to ride straight to practice because I lost track of time. I felt so hot in the boat with my butt pad on my shorts. :-)Friday night coach was having a bon fire so Dane and I went over there and roasted some marshmallows, had some smores and the most exciting part, I played Ghost in the Graveyard with coach's sons who are 5 and 6. I love kids so that was a highlight of my evening. If you want to know what it is, you can ask me. :-) You'll all want to play if I tell you right now. I just can't put you through the torture of wanting to play and not being able to. :-D I hung out at Dane's for awhile afterwards and then headed home to bed. It was a nice little Friday evening.
Saturday I went to practice in the morning and then went for a run afterwards. Going to Target after that was a huge mistake because they have so many cute things there, I know guys, you're loving this, and I spent way to much money. :-) Getting cute things for my townhouse justifies it though. Saturday I took a nice little nap, avoiding studying a little longer, and then inevitably studied for my Pathophysiology test I had today. Which by the way, I think went beautifully! The women’s rowing team had a surprise birthday party for Andria because that's what we do when people try to hide their birthday's from us. I must say, watching a bunch of girls drink together was a ton of fun! Ever since my birthday the thought of alcohol makes me sick but I'm naturally very hyper so I fit in perfectly. :-) Sarah and I went to a keger afterwards and I mingled while she played a game of beer pong. There was a girl carrying around a bottle of whiskey when we first got there and when I was about ready to leave, she was sick outside. Her and her friend couldn’t find a ride back to I offered, praying that she wouldn't puke in my pretty car. Finally at about 3am I fell asleep which I was pretty proud of that because I don’t remember the last time I stayed up that late.
This rowing thing gets you in a weird time deal, where you wake up bright and early no matter what, so I was up and at em on Sunday morning. I studied a bit and then took a little nap! I love napping! I studied some more and then went down to the faculty/staff appreciation day rowing thing, which I would like to brag about because I organized and thought of the idea. Unfortunately it was raining so we didn't end up having it, but hey it was a nice thought. That was actually a blessing because it gave me more time to study before I headed off to my wonderful church, Mars Hill. They were referring to Ephesians and talking about how everyone has so many different things going on in their life. There could be a girl from a Christian college who was pregnant and felt like her only option was abortion, but how would she feel differently if she could talk to a couple who had been trying to have kids for years and couldn't conceive. They used all sorts of different situations to show how so many people are so different in so many ways. They had a guest speaker from Africa. He was a minister there and he had always love people with AIDS from a distance. One December his wife talked him into taking a baby with AIDS into their home for the holiday's to give the people at the orphanage a break. He held that baby in his arms and it felt like God was talking to him through the child's eyes. He adopted the boy and eventually, the baby was tested again for HIV and the test was negative. By the end of this story the minister was in tears. He said "Our son no longer had aids" I was moving because it just goes to show the miracles God can create. It shows that you really should love everyone no matter what. When you go to a church, you don't realize how many different types of people are sitting right next to you. As a Christian, you should always be open to everyone and always try to help no matter what. "You can only love God, as much as the person you love the least" I really like that and it makes me want to do some things in my life differently.
Well today was like any other Monday. I went to practice, work, lunch, work, class, class. My Mondays are 5:45am-9pm days so I'm glad it's over. :-)
I hope everyone had a great start to their week!
