So. Some twit on quizzilla stole The Best Defense and posted five chapters of it so far.

I am NOT happy at having to get an account to tell her where to stuff it or report her. But I'm still far too nice for my own good; I'm giving her a grace period (16 hours) to actually get my message and take my fic down.

I told her very flatly to please remove MY fic, I did not give her permission to post it nor do I appreciate having my work stolen, she has until XX time before I report it.

You might also consider reporting this to stop_plagiarism. They don't have any direct power, but they do keep records and document fanfic plagiarism cases. It can be useful when somebody has a pattern of the behavior.

RRRRRRRRRRRRRR..... Okay, Jo? You're being way too nice here. Plagiarists know exactly what they're doing, they do it deliberately and so far as I believe deserve absolutely no mercy whatsoever. *Please* post this person's name and/or a link? Because if you've caught her doing it this once, I have to wonder how many other times she's done it. And I can think of a few very good communities to post that info to right now.

Man, I *hate* plagiarists with a huge hatey hate. There's just no excuse at all.

I probably am being way too nice, but this isn't the first time I've been plagiarized. Granted, it's the first time any fic but Cherry Stems has been stolen, but on previous occasions the thief took it down with little drama.

Allie found two other victimized authors -- Arigatomina and Jaelle, both of whom I believe she emailed -- before she went to bed.

If my fic's not down at 8 tonight, in 10 hours, I'll report her and post the link for people to do with as they will. 9_9

I'll be happy to jump on the band wagon in doing something regarding the theft if she doesn't remove your fic. You're one of my favorite authors and I hate to see people get away with things like that.

I'd rather people didn't go mobbing the girl. Stealing sucks, but I don't want to do the "BNFzilla, cry flametime and release the fans of war" thing.
