I am ADDICTED to Temeraire. If there was just some porn, I'd be gold. Is there porn later?

Also, THREE DAYS until A Game of Thrones. I am totally watching it after the bb goes to sleep, when we drag ourselves from the LifeNight.

I think I'm going to Lifeteen, because my husband got roped into the chastity night. Although one of his plans was to ( Read more... )

I'm so excited for the next book to come out! I adore Temeraire, it's such a fresh take on a commonly done genre.

And it's totally making me remember how hot Horatio Hornblower was- his hat! His little ponytail! And my mind!Laurence is Karl Urban, which helps.

That is totally the only point for condoms. And they're slippery, which is the main difference between them and regular balloons. NO OTHER DIFFERENCE.

It's kind of weird with me and my husband sometimes and our relationships with the Catholic church- I'm pro public health, and basing interventions off of research and science, and he's into making theological points and referencing popes. I try not to engage anymore.

And thank you! I like the colors. Your icon is making me want to hang out on a beach!

Oh, but if the teens take the condoms home, then they're going to think we're encouraging them to have sex.

I think I sprained an ocular muscle.

AGREED. Sometimes my face just gets frozen, and my inner monologue is 'don't react don't react' because otherwise I'll sprain something.

I'm reading Yes means Yes! Visions of Feminine Sexual Power and a World Without Rape right now, so I'm feeling very Down With This Sort Of Thing (with regards to the woman in question and "Sex Is Bad", not husband. Actually, I am entertained by husband's idea and wish to subscribe to his newsletter) at the moment.

But, yes -- Sometimes it's difficult not to say anything.

I know! I will have to check out that book, it looks interesting. I love my husband dearly, and he's an intelligent and well educated person, it's just we come at it from different educational and family backgrounds. I have most of my issues with the church hierarchy, rather than individuals- and I really think that our theology would be only broadened and enriched by having women be part of the discussion as principals, not people shouting out from the outside. If Dorothy Day was a pope, it'd be a whole different church.
