Mini, but Mighty!
So I have drawn the conclusion that I think of the doll sizes and shapes that I have come across (which admittedly isn't exactly a huge and expansive field), I love the MNF best.
I love the mature build of such a small doll.
I love the poseability of the A-line body.
I love the magnetic hands (sooo easy to switch off and a great help in dressing the doll).
And many other things too, I'm sure, but those are certainly among the leading reasons.
Maybe it's because I'm a person who believes that everything has its place, but I find myself loving how I can just plunk the little wonder somewhere and not have it look too awkward. The big dolls are nice (and I've no intention of selling Calinth any time soon... barring finances...), but no matter where you put them, they're just "OMG, big doll!"
So yeah, I think that Calinth will be the doll that I have sitting around and looking pretty, changing out his clothing now and again, but otherwise... not doing much except filling a desire.
Meanwhile, I find myself wanting to take pictures of Harker very much right now. Though because of my schedule, I get home when it's too dark to take any decent shots (it shouldn't be this frustrating, you stupid camera... wait, stupid me for not knowing how to operate you!) and then perhaps swap heads so that Hopper can have her body back and I can have her try on some of the new clothes she got a couple weeks ago. OMG, there are actually girly items in there!
I am anticipating getting Harker his own body in the near future... it's just a matter of checking out some things and seeing what my best option is. I either wait to go in on a GO, which has been a good deal for me, just the waiting can suck ass. Or, I go ahead and order on my own... though that means having a spare head.
I totally intend to have three MNF for my Gracedown Trio (briefly the other night I almost came up with the notion of going for a Gracedown Quartet, but then quickly reigned that in), but currently have no idea about Simon, the Horror representative. I'm trying to keep neutral on what he should look like... other than to be somewhat on the mischevious/sexy side, so that I don't have any preconceived notions to be forced upon the mould I end up choosing.
All I know is that he must be an MNF, though if he should be BW or NS, I've no idea. I've played with the notion of getting a Shiwoo to replace Mordain, my first MNF, whom I do still miss now and again, but I think that he would pale in comparison to what once was. Carl I do have my eye on, though I wish more people would post images of him... as a boy, not as a girl. And now, I find myself curious as to what the new girl, Rheia, might look like as a boy...
I wish people around me had MNF, I think it'd be cool to take pictures of the lot of them together...
Anyway, I have more to rant about on this subject, but I'll wait until tomorrow I think... or better yet, I'll get a chance to spam you all with pictures of my dear Harker instead.
