Cloaked Business

Ultimately, I find Cedric Diggory to be one character in the HP series I wish we knew more about.  I've read other fanfictions of this pairing before, and I find it to be my favorite so far.  It makes so much sense, sometimes, that I half-wish they'd gotten chance to talk in the books.  But, far be it from me to change a Rowling series...  That ( Read more... )

How lovely!

I'm a huge fan of this. I've been looking for well-written Cedric/Hermione all the live long day and finally! Finally I read something good. :D That was just too cute. Yay for sexy-reacher!Hermione! And a breathing Cedric made me cheery.

Thanks for writing.

First thing I have to say (other than a hearty, "Thank you for reading AND commenting!"), is that I like Cedric breathing rather than... not. Not breathing... Even with ghosts, there really isn't a huge world of possibility there... People have done that before and probably better than I would attempt it.

You might try Minisinoo (do hope I spelled that right) for a good Cedric/Hermione story. Trust me, find her and you can't miss it. I think that she does just plain Cedric well too, so it's worth it.

As for the non-breathing Cedric... I always thought this story was particularly sweet... And not even depressing!

Conniving by Scifichick774

Hmm... Sure hope I don't get in trouble for linking that. But, I cited it, so yes.

Thanks for the compliments, and I'm glad you liked it.

"I like Cedric breathing rather than... not. Not breathing..."

Haha! I couldn't agree more. I've been having a hard time finding fics that fit, though. And most of the ones I do find make me all weepy because I know how they end. Gar.

Believe it or not, I think I found Minisinoo's Cedric rec-page. I didn't know it was her at the time (at least, I think it's her), but it had a lot of great stories listed.

And I'll read Conniving ASAP! Of course, University starts for me tomorrow. But I always seem to have the most time when I have no time at all, if that makes any sense. I'll read it before the end of the week.

Thanks for the link!

You're welcome, very much so, because it is a great, funny story. Truthfully, I don't like reading dead-Ced stories, (that's a pretty good name, newly acquired by myself) because I always thought he was such a... well, lively character, and the fact that he DIES is just... well, more saddening than others in the same situation.

Good luck with the new term. I know I'll certainly be looking forward to mine... That was heavy with the lead-painted sarcasm, by the by.

Thanks for responding to such a nutcase as myself! More than once, in fact!

It's no problem! I know it's not possible for a lot of writers b/c of time restraints, but I always like it when someone takes the time to respond to a review I've left with something more than just a smiley face. Not to play down the power of smiley faces, or anything. Heh.

Do you have a non-writing journal? Or does this journal sub as both writing and RL? I was going to friend you, but then I wasn't sure if this was the journal you used on a regular basis.

Oh, smiley faces hold the fate of the world in their... imaginary/invisible hands... ; )

I think that, even if a review is very short, if someone took the time to comment, it's only polite to respond. Though I do love it when I get reviews more helpful than... smiley faces...

Sadly, I only have one journal. I think that's about as much as I can take at one time. I don't really use it for RL, though I suppose I could. I just... don't. No motivation, I guess. *is embarrassed*

So, yes, you can friend me with this account. As a matter of fact, I was just about to friend you as well. XD

By the by... that's just about the coolest icon I've ever seen... I mean...

DUDE! Haha...

Oh! Don't feel like you have to post in your journal. I just got back from taking a huge, year-long break from LJ and I don't think I would have started to post again if I'd felt any kind of pressure to. That's not the point. It's your journal and you're free to post or not post as you please. :D

Haha! Yay! I love that icon. DUDE! Oh Cedric... :( You were so full of life and Pretty and intelligent and honest and why did you have to get yourself AK'd? Blarg. Hopefully one day I'll have enough time and will to write a Cedric story. Don't know what I'd do, though. It's been a long time since I've faffed around in the HP fandom; it's so huge and intimidating and I don't even know how active it still is. The books are finished, but I'm sure the movies help. Perhaps.

Friended you! :)

Ooh, yay! Maybe we should continue this conversation where other people won't keep questioning our sanity.

By the by... I think I may be in love with that icon as well. ; )
