Back from Vegas
I am back from wonderful Las Vegas, land of sin and excess.
The rest of the world might be going into a meltdown, but LV is still going strong. Condo towers are sprouting like desert flowers, and most casinos are full.
I wonder about all the new towers. One of the cool things about Vegas is all the wild casios - Luxor, New York, Paris, etc. However, these casinos are not actually that tall. In fact, most of the new condo towers dwarf the casinos next to them. Is the skyline of Vegas going to lose as a result? Is it going to be so full of expensive condos that the fun parts will be overwhelmed? I look to most areas where too much money flowed in, and the area sucks now (I'm looking at you Ballard).
In any case, Vegas was great, and I won some money (which is always a nice surprise!). It's good to be back where the air is moist, and my nose doesn't bleed (from the dry air!)
