what the fuck is obesity?
can someone please tell me this? This was never a common word when I was a child, it was either big, fat, or baby fat. It drives me up a wall that everywhere, people are saying "obese blah blah blah", " Your child is suffering from obesity". What the fuck is this shit?
What I heard growing up is "oh she's just a little big", "that's baby fat", "she's got a healthy appetite". At least it wasn't as bad as it is now. Sure being overweight can be a bit trouble some, but scaring people into loosing weight isn't the best way to do it, such as shows like Honey, we're killing the kids. To me, that's a joke right there. I know plenty of people who are a bit on the plus side who are as healthy as an ox and don't need to loose any weight. Yeah, I'm what the doctors say is 40 pounds overweight and I'm at risk for a lot of things, but wasn't I before? My family has a history of diabetes and high blood pressure, I find that it wouldn't have been any different if I were smaller, I was destined to get diabetes; hell, I'd probably have type 1 instead of type 2. I have a set of bad genes is all lol.
Being overweight in this country is a plague but it's sort of moronic to me how the country is finally getting off their lazy asses and doing anything about it. I saw a story they did on Fox 29 tonight about how stores are banking in on underage obesity,(gosh they make it sound like a drug or something) but they actually show how it's helping girls improve their self esteem. I find this very difficult to swallow because the one thing that's a social stigma is how we look at the appearances of girls. It's ashame that we belittle, ridicule, and make fun of girls who are of a larger size. It's as if large girls are saying "oh now I don't have to shop around and go to the back of the store for my size, now there's a place just for us fat girls!!". There's a price for large shopping, if there's a certain size you like and it's....lets say 15 dollars for S, M, and L. If you need a 2x, some places double the price, I'm not sure, maybe because they need more fabric or something.
It just grinds my gears at how people can't see the beauty there is in thick women, and how some thick women in the entertainment business loose weight just to fit in, Jennifer Hudson use to be a girl I looked up to, but after a few months, she's slowly started shedding the pounds. That's why she kinda sucks now to me lol, now my only love is Queen Latifah, and the only surgery she's had was to reduce her breast size. Oh wait, she's doing Jenny Craig's program, fuck.

I got the job at AMC movie theater up at Franklin mills *wo0t* and I'm also *this close to* starting school in about a week or so. I kinda fill out the paper work for amc on the 15th. Their attire is blah it's like they have a stick up their asses. Can only wear one ring per hand, a watch, NO visible tattoos, shirt MUST be tucked in, no outrageous hairstyles or colors, black shoes no sneakers, black socks, and they provide you with the uniform. So, I'm looking into buying a watch with a thick band, and I have to buy a new medical bracelet since I can't freaking find the one I've had since 03 great. well they're just about 6 to 7 dollars so that shouldn't be too bad. Hopefully I'll be able to access my money within the week and buy the things I need, and I'm so taking the money out instead of charging it to my card which I thought places were going to take the money out of my account instead of charging it to the visa part of the card *sigh*. So I'm looking at this watch at hottopic:
pretty sweet, it's in the mens section and i love it. that's one side of the watch i think it's just that star and it can flip out and on the other side it's a watch
flippin sweet right? so yeah that's my game plan to cover up the tattoos which you can pretty much not see lol but just incase lol. They're starting me off at min. wage (-_-) and i'll be working like the concession stand and cleaning the bathrooms and theaters after the movie is finished. Buttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt
there are perks to it lol
i get to see free movies with a guest/immediate family
free popcorn and discounts or crap
and other cool stuff i don't remember
just the free movies alone makes me smile :-D
so umm yeah it's like now 5 am and I think i'm finally going to go to bed since I didn't find much to eat in the kitchen so yeah seeeyyyyerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
