Johonoknat: If you wish to give suggestions, I wouldnt mind, but I can figure things out myself, if need be.
raptor1313666PDA: heh, you know me, man. I'm probably better at plotting than actual "nitty gritty" story execution.
raptor1313666PDA: and I'm also an advocate of immersion, which is why I try to avoid the "RSP only" descriptions for overt things (blindfolds and tattoos can easily be hidden by clothes or just not seen from afar).
Johonoknat: Yes, I do. And you know I'm more than open to your suggestions, and value your input, which is why I brought it up to you in the first place.

Johonoknat: I went with the Illidian hair style, long hair with a small ponytail on top, and a long goatee with sideburns. Magenta in color.

raptor1313666PDA: he's missing his horns, which can be considered cut or filed, as you said.
Johonoknat: and I gave him the 'scowling' face, as well

raptor1313666PDA: which would make him feel darker, obviously.
raptor1313666PDA: so two things stick out in my head.
raptor1313666PDA: I can't think of a satyr that wears clothes (lore wise, outside of "trophies" and "trinkets"). And I can't see a scowling face work by an amnesiac satyr who mebbe has no idea what he is.
raptor1313666PDA: soo, what about the trickster route? a satyr attempting to pass as a kaldorei for some reason or another?
raptor1313666PDA: reason would, of course, be related to trickery, deception, perhaps even a darker darkness than any of the villains I know you for.
Johonoknat: a darker darkness?
raptor1313666PDA: well, Zymeth was more of an "overt" darkness. Enslaving, taking over, being all evil and such
raptor1313666PDA: I'm referring to more of a subtle darkness. Suggestions. Lies. Deception. Turning brother against brother, mother against son, etc.
Johonoknat: mhmm

Johonoknat: you never did see Elish being evil when she was, did you
raptor1313666PDA: actually, I did see some, but not a lot.
raptor1313666PDA: but regardless, it's the satyr type of evilness.

raptor1313666PDA: they tend to make people believe that the corruption is the right path, and that it's not corrupt at all
raptor1313666PDA: by seeding doubt.

Johonoknat: lemme tell you about how Elishtar enslaved Kathetia, eh? I think you'll enjoy the story.

Johonoknat: Well, Kath had a bad childhood, so she asked her good friend Elithe to block out the memories. He complied, after about a week and a half of rping out the gathering the various reagents and such, everything was ready, and everything worked perfectly
Johonoknat: about a month latter, Kathetia, knowing part of her head is missing, but not being able to put the peices together, asks for them back. Elithe sighs and goes about doing things.
Johonoknat: Then Elishtar and Kath bump into each other. They had met once or twice, nothing big. Elishtar says 'You know, Elithe told me what happened, and I can fix your problem.' Kathetia says 'whatever you need, I'll get.'
Johonoknat: Elishtar simply grins 'An innocent child.'
Johonoknat: Kath comes in a few days latter, a little eight year old girl behind her. Elishtar smiles at the child 'Hello little girl, what are you here for?' The little girl says 'Missus Kathetia said you had some candy for me.'
Johonoknat: Elish shakes her head 'Oh no. That naughty Kathetia lied.... your going to get to see a Goddess! Do you want to?' With that, the child readily agrees to anything, and thus started one of the goriest and most brutal ritual I've ever rped out.
Johonoknat: Kath got her memory back, but a week latter, decieded it wasnt worth the price. She goes up to Elishtar and -demands- she bring her back. Elish laughs at her. Asking why she paid if the price was to steep. Kath asks what she has to do to get her back.
Johonoknat: 'Servitude'
Johonoknat: and thats the short version.

Johonoknat: question. If I do deciede to go with the corruptor route, would you mind if he were apart, or a minion of the Sun?
raptor1313666PDA: not at all. The Sun is supposed to be a bit more subtle than the "rush in and stomp 'em all" attitude of the rest of the Legion.
raptor1313666PDA: so if you go that route, he'd fit

Johonoknat: any suggestions on how to go about a more seeking redemtion kinda path?
raptor1313666PDA: first and foremost, his past had to have been one where he sought great power
raptor1313666PDA: because that would have lead him down the path of temptation to becoming a satyr in the first place
Johonoknat: mhmm
raptor1313666PDA: he would have had to come to the realization somehow that the pain that the other satyr put him through when being turned (from the descriptions in the book, it seems a painful conversion), would have sparked some doubt
raptor1313666PDA: in other words "WTF, THIS isn't what I expected!"
raptor1313666PDA: and from there developed the realization that his quest for power couldn't be done as such, and thus he starts down the path of "Wow, I'm a dumbass"
raptor1313666PDA: Which would lead to "now how can I free myself?"

Johonoknat: which could lead to pretending to be a Kaldorie and trying to learn that druid stuff that killed Archimonde.
raptor1313666PDA: if you wish to maintain the challenge, you can give him the conflict of dealing with his old lust for power and his new regret that the lust is what put him here in the first place.

raptor1313666PDA: he'd most likely still rely on the arcane
raptor1313666PDA: so your spell emotes would perhaps need to reflect some of this
Johonoknat: Oh, by the way. As of... now. Netherbane group photo is done.
raptor1313666PDA: perhaps even some of his nature spells would fizzle repeatedly, showing the general difficulty of a corrupted wielder being almost unable to manipulate nature magic
