Body Image Ghoul Returns

Bumped into everyone's favorite father yesterday after Morning Mass and he let drop the fact that Crosby had made another Moonshot, apparently, while I was out of town. It made sense. It would be almost exactly a year since the last one (that I am aware of.) What made this time so different was an unexpected feeling of relief that we had not crossed paths. After nearly two months of consuming large quantities southern food (going back to early April and the Southern Lib workshop) I have arrived at the height of t-shirt season with a baby bump the size of the Goodyear blimp. To my mind, that's equal to about three pounds.

So far, I am not sure whether it is worth going on a crash diet and exercise regimen. I've been improvising seersucker jackets and windbreakers to hide the situation above my belt buckle, but, it will soon be too hot for "sweater weather". And, to make things worse, a craving for ice cream (a well-known gut buster) has raised its hoary head.

The other interesting thing that happened yesterday was that Bing suggested I start using Instagram instead of Facebook as a means of staying in touch with his family, as the kids seem to prefer posting pictures to creating a lot of content on their own webpages.

Interesting idea. Too bad I de-friended his youngest a year ago and am still not sure whether he realizes it.
