More Dream Time

I must have woken up a lot during the night because I can detect the edges of several completely different dreams from about 3:30 AM (the last time I looked at my watch) onward. One was a Kafakaesque nightmare involving cockroaches multiplying like mosquitos in my bathroom sink. Tiny larvae were just bubbling up from place in the drain pipe and evolving within seconds into a gelatinous mass of brown, beady-eyed vermin. Time to give the kitchen and bathroom a good scrubbing.

There's still some processing going on with Mom's death. I dreamed of seeing her open coffin with a pair of legs appearing from under her skirt. In reality, Mom was a double amputee and she never had prosthesis. In reality, it didn't matter because her coffin was only open from the waist up. But, in the dream she was laid out in the same Chanel-like skirt and jacket but with her feet visible. I was perfectly aware, in the dream, that these were artificial limbs. In fact, they were incredibly well made and life like. The problem was she was missing one shoe. I think this was turning into a "missing clothing" dream, weirdly projected onto Mom.

Lastly, there was some rehashing of a co-counseling meeting that took place last night. There were two rooms, one for the leaders and one for the general workshop. I kept shuffling between the two. I'm clearly ambivalent about moving up any further in the line of command.

Also, earlier this week, maybe even before the weekend, I'm pretty sure I had a visitation from Uncle Junius, Mom's oldest brother. I think it was to tell me that she's all right and adjusting well to the Afterlife. They're buried next to each other, in fact.
