For Queer's Sake
Okay, I'm feeling a little better now that I've put some Chinese food in my belly.
I know I'm over processing this, but, I can't help the feeling that I was too rapid (and instinctively vapid) in my response to Vincent's post below. My initial qualms about his use of the word "queer" had less to do with _how_ he used it than with the fact of his using it at all. Queer still has a sexual connotation, doesn't it? People aren't queer just because they're non-conformists; or have lots of gay friends; or because they live in a blue state, are they? I'm just checking. We are still talking about sex, aren't we?
