A few weeks ago, the Tampa Bay Rays mysteriously decided to fire their mascot performer. If it was a rules violation, the team would likely have released a statement about it, but that hasn't occurred. My guess is either money, or an asshole boss.
Anywho, the job is open to applications. Even if I had a car to drive down there, I likely wouldn't. Following that act would be a real challenge. To make matters worse, the publicity of the performer's firing will cast a shadow over the character. (Fans saying, "You're not the 'real' [character name here]!!!", is a rather hurtful thing to hear) Not to mention the possibility low pay and/or an asshole boss.
