(no subject)
so monday i went downtown and was chilling outside the show waiting for sarah to get out of work i ended up losing one glove, some MD2020 and one fucking ticket for the show. so sarah got dropped off her car broke down and we ended up going back to her house.
tue: woke up got dropped off downtown went over to lupos found my glove \m/ went home then after having to walk from my house to hoxie 4 corners to catch the bus finally got on it at 6 and made it downtown by 630 went over to lupos and talked to the chick from tarbox sicon and showed her the shirt i made that said tarbox sicon is rad to get my free tix got my tix and sold one for 25 bucks dropped by skateboard and backpack off at my dads work and walked back to lupos found out i won another set of tix but didn't bother with them. um so tons of people were there. melissa, sal, tony, handy, leah, alex, jason, lil john, onders, lever, stacy, red head jen, um saw matty Q, there was probaly tons of people i knew but didn't see. so i walked in and the captain patted me down. um went in we basicly all chilled on the right of the stage on the couch. um i guess my chemical romance canceled and Monty's Fan Club played first. they were good it was a lil slow on energy. next was StrayLight Run, they were ok extra emo. next up was Presidents of the United States, they played Lump and Peachs and were really good. very primus sounding. so i went to the bathroom to cheak my messages and call sarah back so i did and she was bitching cuz i went to the show and she told me not to and i was supposed to help her tow her car she wanted me to leave right then even when there was 2 bands left so i was like er no and she got all mad so i went back to the floor were everyone was and waited for The Used to get on so they did and the place went crazy it was so packed on the floor i moshd and crowd surfed a lil and by the end of there set i was soakd. so cooled off and got water a bunch of people left and then Taking Back Sunday came on. so after watching a few songs i decided i wanted to go crowd surf so i made my way to the middle were there was a raised part with a railing so i climbed up and jumped off the railing i surfed around for a lil and the security guard (black guy with glasses?) in the front grabs me and throws me into the stage and was like yelling at me saying fuck... or something so he threw me like into the corner so i was standing between the stage and the speaker so i was gaining my composure and another security guard (white guy) grabs me and puts me in a arm lock. now im trying to get on the stage to get to the exit but i cant because its knee high and he had my arms behind my back im like wtf chill out. so i finally crawl up there and thighs lil short security guard chick grabs me and basically manhandles me for a few sec while the other guy gets up and grabs me and pushes me toward the exit so another security guard grabs me and throws me out the side door. so i walk around front and lil john is there he got kicked out during the used, eventually onders came out so we waited for the show to end. leah grabs my hat, gloves, and hoodie but forgot my black beanie. um anyway got a ride home from sal and melissa.
so has anyone else had problems with security at the new lupos recently? they seem a lot more violent my friend tony was crowd surfing and the little chick grabs him by the collar and pulls him out very hard (tonys tall but still tiny only 120) my friend lil john got kicked our for moshing and he's short only 5 feet if that. When lupos was at the old spot there were never as many people getting kicked out. you felt safe to crowd surf without being assaulted by security or slammed into the stage. like when metal antony was always upfront i had no problems and there were even less problems then with these other guys. there all new young guys that don't give a shit for peoples safety its only a matter of time till someone gets hurt because of them. they seem like the get off by violently pulling people over the barricade and tossing them around. when im surfing and get to the front i let them grab me nicely and i try and put my arm around there neck for support i don't fight with them but they still tend to grab you and toss you down it used to be only the guys but now i notice girls getting volently thrown around. wtf happened???
