in bioethics we're talking about surrogate pregnancy.
this one girl expresses this extremely noble view about trying to better another persons life by trying to adopt a child before trying to biologically conceive.
the next girl expresses her the importance of having her very own pregnancy, because it forms a bond with the child.
for some reason, i'm immediately reminded of the similarities between rushing and pregnancy-- you form the bonds and commitments to an organization based on the torture you must go through. i just have this strong tendency to reject these earthy views, though they may have some merits.
someone else brings up that biological relatedness is probably better for the child. i'm sure the 10 or so adopted kids in the class took that well.
