Life is beautiful ...
So work finally gave me a trip. It's not much. I fly to El Paso and spend 30 hours there. Could be worse. At least it's 4 hours pay plus per diem.
Work didn't fly me for the past 3 days so I had Thanksgiving off. Thankfully I had my grandparents in town and I went over there for Thanksgiving.
My parents are remodeling their house again. They started on my last trip - so most of the main stuff was done when I got back. I just finished the painting today. I'm not pleased with it because it's such a pain to try to paint a straight line. So far I have spent 14+ hours on it.
Due to the painting, I have been oblivious to the events in India - that's bad on my part.
Sunday night I went to The Church in Dallas (established in 1994 A.D. ... witty). Contrary to what many may have seen, I had a good time. I just enjoyed observing the dressed up people and viewing the place's layout. Anyways, that night I realized that though I owe my parents and friends money, my paycheck next month will not be great, I'm still single, I'm still overweight, etc. etc. ... that overall I am still happy with my life. I think it is because I am loosing weight (though Thanksgiving didn't help) and I foresee a positive future (though moving to the NJ/NYC area still intimidates me). Two nights ago I finished redlining Forbidden so after my time in ELP, I will be reading to submit Forbidden to publishers.
Anyways, I'm off to upload Fringe.
