So it is cold and rainy here, I am eating some dinner as Aqila yells and squeals at her new video game. I am sort of lost from the game, "Ecco the Dolphin". I played it on an ancestral gaming system but not this new one. Besides right now all I can think of is the game "Heavenly Sword" for PS3 that I played at Best Buy while getting Qilly an adapter for the PS2.
Holy shit on the Pope's new sandals was thing awesome. I barely knew how to play and I bet when you get combinations and moves down it becomes insane. The movement, graphics, control and just awesomeness of it was incomparable. The heroine of the story wields a badass blade that is capable of some serious cleaving and limb disassembling. As I did the best I could fighting in the middle of a circle of enemies I must have hit the right combinations of buttons at the right time because suddenly it went to slow motion and I ran up this guys chest, put my legs around his neck, grabbed his head and jerked it quickly to one side snapping his neck then flipping off to slash another attacker. I nearly pissed my pants in glee as I was playing.
A small crowd of little kids gathered to watch the mayhem, they were ooohhhing and aahhhing. I must have been on there for 30 minutes, kids were like "yo man, let me have a turn, or my favorite one spoken from the lips of a black kid who couldn't have been more than 9 years old, "Don't you have a shopping cart full of clothes and corner to beg on."
I told them I will be done when my character dies, they waited impatiently and finally when my divine sword wielding beauty fell in a well splattered pool of her own blood I knew it was also my turn to pass the controls on to those waiting. I stood back a moment to see how "capt. quickwit" would do. He got circled by the first group and they carved him up like a Thanksgiving Turkey. No finesse in these younger fighters, all balls to wall empty all chambers at once fighting. Never gets you nowhere. I preferred to finesse my enemies and focus as much as i could on Sun Tzu's "The Art of War" as my guide.
Here is a quick little plug for the game, it doesn't even begin to give you an idea of how awesome it is to wield this sword, but it gives some cool shots and looks at the game.

I looked at my watch "Oh Snaps" I said out loud, an expression I began saying as a joke that has now quickly entered conversation at non humorous times. I had been in Best Buy for the better part of an hour playing that game. Aqila was still at home sleeping, it was only 11am, I had to get up early to get my oil changes, tires rotated, and apparently a nail removed from a tire. It was right in the middle of the tread and the guy was very honest in saying not to replace the tire because they seem new and expensive. The patchwork they do from the inside and it pretty much completely if not better than new. Seeing as he could have made a ton more money trying to sell me a tire, which I wanted to do I feel he was being pretty honest.
Now I have fresh oil and the the perfect amount of time to break in the newly rotated tired for the drive home to Boston for Thanksgiving.
So I am watching a video that I find incredibly hot. Aqila laughs as I listen to it over and over again. It is Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie" video. The soug itself is actually pretty damn good, especially with my taste in rhythms, but Shakira's hips? They certainly don't lie and the only message they got is she is hot hot hot.....

How can you not totally be in love with Shakira after that video? I know i am. However my hips don't lie either and they are telling me I can't dance....yet. What I do know is that nothing I ever picked up I could just do right away. However I have never had to call upon this amount of grace upon my body. But I committed to becoming a salsa dancer for my girl and a salsa dancer i will become. I need to practice and the first thing I am going to do is get a salsa cd so I can practice in my downtime. Practice makes perfect, and to be perfectly honest, I like the music.
So in preparation for coming home to Thanksgiving next week, one of my most favorite holidays out of all our holiday traditions, I usually watch "Good Will Hunting", however I can't find my dvd, so I purchased Italian Wedding Soup in a can from Campbells to try and get in the mood. It did not work, but what it did do is make me crave going home even more. I don't know the last time Me, Dad, Mom, and Tia were all together in one place. I am really looking forward to it.
I am also looking forward to the annual Stan Football Game at Noon on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Guys I only see and talk to once a year will show up to play football and it is as if we never left. I love it.
Anyway, three school days to get through.
