I sit here listening to the Dashboard CD, (that Mandy so graciously gave to me,) and think about the events that took place today in Constitution Hall. For some reason I do not feel as emotional as I think I should be feeling. Though do not get me wrong, I LOVED the ceremony and had a lovely time. I just think it was a cool thing to do, but I guess the gravity of it will hit me later. And my iPod was the best companion I could have had during the preparation and long waiting periods. If you don't have one yet... get one... or else.
So we get there at 8:00 AM and it turns out the place does not actually open for an hour. Gosh darnit! Woke up at 5:30 AM for nothing. That was ridiculous. The ceremony was very nice, and included great speeches, like Madeline Albright's, and some not so good ones. OMG, speaking of which... when I walked by to shake her hand she asked me what college I was going to next year. How very exciting! Then there was performing with Chambers for the entire Hall, which was a nice experience. Getting positive feedback after performing is one of the best things ever! And then hanging out with friends was a cool deal as always. Too bad Charles Kim was not allowed to walk... sucks for him.
But seriously I am too excited about Princeton to care much about high school. I mean I love you guys but OMG college!
Just the weather sucked. It was so damn hot! And the stupid robe did not make things any better. Can we switch to winter yet???
Side note: There is nothing more awkward than an obvious lie for unknown reasons.
