First of all, congratulations to Ian for getting a great job, glad that you can give your old manager the finger ;). Glad to see you again, though I am confused why people think it is wise to arm me with weapons of doom, I mean christ, what do you think will happen if you give me a desert eagle??
As for me, as many of you already know, I'm gonna be starting a new job soon. I don't know when exactly, as they are still working out stuff about it, but I'm gonna be working at Fujitsu in Solihull, Birmingham as a log analyst. Good pay ahoy! I must thank Pertemps for keeping me employed until then, they've been fantastic and will recommend anyone looking for work to give them a look. And computer people for searching for permanent work. Many people will voice hatred to agencies, but they seen me a-okay!
Now, I'm going to talk about something completely unrelated. London. Why do people like to live there? I had to pass through there this weekend on the way back to Coventry, and it reminded me of all the things I've noticed about the place. First of all, it makes you small, and not in the good way. It wasn't because of big imposing buildings, or amazingly fantastic stuff, but the attitude of people there. It is a sort of pack mentality that only people who live there seem to understand. You get off one train and the mass movement of people makes you feel so uncomfortable. Don't anyone stop to smell the roses there? Don't people stop to help the uninitiated to london there (the answer is no)? Don't people act like people instead of robots or ants there? I really would not want to live there, but then I cherish my individuality (no insult anyone who lives there, on the contrary I respect the fact that you have kept your self esteem and identity in the face of faceless hell *salute*). I always wondered why I sub-conciously avoided going through it by train and now I know. Anyway, I had better be off, need to brush up on my IT skills (what little I have heh).
screw you hippies!
