Dragoncon is interested in having Indie Game panels, games on the schedule, etc. If you are a designer, what do you usually do at these conventions and what do the conventions usually do for you (badges, etc). There's a new games director and there's an opening for more stuff but I don't know what to offer or expect. This is not about me (I have an Eternal Membership and I live in town). It's about trying to get some of you guys who are interested there and making it good for everyone.
I was asked by the Dragoncon people to help organize this since I'm the "indie games" person running these kind of games every year. Last year I sat on a panel and talked about playtesting games, the general community, where I though things were heading, etc. Also did a Games on Demand immediately after the panel to let people try out some of the games.
I really have no clue what people do to be a game track guest and they were very open to find out what was available. I also don't know whats standard for a con to do for the guests. I want both con and designers to get something good out of this, be happy, and have more cool games exposure at my local con (which happens to be huge)...
