Random thoughts...
Did you know the canadians have a military? They are my heroes because they built a hockey rink out here in the desert. They play every once in a while, i want to try to get in a game.
I've been called a damn yank twice since I've been here, its unsettling
(on a side note fuck you brits for allowing shorts into your military uniform, man that would be sweet)
They make a portable guitar hero game that carries 10 songs, I highly suggest everyone get one (thank you so much mom and dad for that and the package)
This deployment has changed many factors in my life, a lot for the worse but some light is poking through.
I have been hitting up the gym we have at our work area. I'm motivated to do it, it's something to pass time when we have down time, and it feels good.
Care packages with chocolate and baked goods are a life saver, really improves your entire week (haha thanks again mom, dad, ben, I can't stress that enough. You guys outdid yourselves)
This will probably sound dumb, I haven't thought this through, but it somewhat helps my morale to think of this as a vacation I really didn't want to take but I'm here so I might as well have fun with it. It somewhat helps pass the time too.
