Last night, David Tennant, Tim Roth and Gary Oldman were in my dream. David was playing Hamlet, and Tim and Gary were Rosencrantz and Guildenstern (YOU SEE, IT ALL MAKES SENSE!). I agree about the fermentation period. But sometimes these things can be left for too long and the results aren't always great. I hate it when you over-think something and it becomes too precious to write - as though you're gonna fuck it up and become too worried about doing it wrong. Or is that just me? Which is why I'd prefer to not mull over things for ages and ages because then I might just never write them or I'll start writing them but not be happy. I like the surprise of writing something that turns out differently to how you originally thought - which often happens with me - so that's why the over-thinking thing isn't always the most productive way for me to work. Though I guess everyone's different. :)
Perhaps I need to cut down on my important dawdling-about-on-the-internet time and write more.
I've been having a stretch pleasantly low on dreams just lately - that is good to hear.
