thoughts on fic
The planned Supernatural/Alien crossover fic is getting weirder. I want it to be a dark, angsty, brooding piece of femmeslash between Ellen Harvelle (SPN) and Ellen Ripley (Alien). So already there's two Ellens, but I think I can get around that by calling Ellen Ripley just 'Ripley'. That's what she's called throughout the films after all.
But then I watched Alien (the first film) last night as a primer. It had been a while. So I'd forgotten that one of the characters is called Ash. He's the android. So of course, because part of the fic will be set in the Roadhouse, I can't not mention SPN's Ash. So now there will kinda be two Ashes, as well as two Ellens! Well, there's the one Ash who is significant in Ripley's past and there's the other Ash who will be present to a certain extent in the Roadhouse, in the fic. I wonder was someone in the SPN team an Alien fan??!
I do want to write this thing - it's lodged in my head now. Also, I want to write some femmeslash, because that is something I've not really done much of before. Also Wolfy encouraged me and you know how I am with the slightest bit of encouragement. So a question for the rest of you: is this something you might want to read? Or is it too obscure? I might do a picspam of female characters who kick arse, just to set to the mood a bit.

- Gary Oldman/Christian Bale fic for blacktofade. She wanted fighty angst. I don't yet know enough about Bale to dive right into this just yet. I keep getting sidetracked by his pretty.
- That thing with The Stig and the zips and I really should finish it before Nix gets back otherwise it'll just get ridiculous.
- I kinda want to write something as a response to the last ep of SPN. A Dean-centric thing, I don't quite know what. But I was thinking about it as I was falling asleep - so possibly there were more thoughts there which I have now forgotten.
- Aha! I was thinking about writing about Rafferty and Ibrahim - who are my original characters from last year's nanowrimo and who reside in an awesome steampunk world. I thought I'd write about them to distract myself from overthinking the post-zombie world that will be this year's nano. But it's so soon! Eee! Exciting! Anyone else going to be doing it too?! :D
