Continuing on my current trend of being downwardly mobile - the main factors being unproductivity and lack of income - today I attended a breakfast date with my mother (date being today's date, not as in 'date' date, though she did pay), hung out with a group of 5 year olds (mostly cute, some like drunk midgets, to paraphrase Dylan Moran), then spent quality interweb time keeping in touch with Spaced, Jarvis Cocker and Regina Spektor (via their video clips which they make just for my unpaid viewing pleasure).
I also read some of what is possibly the best book ever written, if not that, then surely the crackiest (if such an adjective exists. And it does. Now.) The book being Ulrich Haarbürste's Novel of Roy Orbison in Clingfilm. I have no time or energy to currently put in links for your further education on the matter. Google it. That's what Google is for. But the intertubes also lead me to this:
Journal of Distraction - by Michael Kelly, which I have been reading obsessively in between lusting admiring Regina Spektor and her artful videoclips. I am forming a theory in my grey-place wherein Michael Kelly and Ulrich Haarbürste are the same person. However researching this theory is difficult as wikipedia has nothing to impart on the subject. The grey-place is ticking slowly and the few clues I have are mysterious. Regina is not helping. But beer, I think, will.
Edit: I think
this entry might be the proof I'm looking for. Though I am disinclined to trust just anything you read on the world wide net, because I once read something that implied one well-respected male actor was involved sexually with another well-respected male actor and that also the characters they perform were involved sexually between the scenes we saw in the show (ie. when we thought they were sleeping or doing things too mundane to depict). I know, it's difficult to believe that anyone would write such a thing, but there you have it.
