And Wales is part of the Philippines, right?! No, wait-
I should ask my housemate, she's from the philippines (but she doesn't have those lovely accents they have on Torchwood, which is how i imagine Ros speaks - all vowelie and slashy!), but don't know how into the secret gay philippino scene she ever was.... Also she can't tell the difference between Australian and British/Welsh/Scottish/Irish accents. I don't know what that has to do with it, but...

I don't have the link any more, but it, er, basically was a paintmash of my occasional reoccurring shame of writing RPF (go drunken self!). I mean, I'm mostly unashamed and proud, but occasionally I just feel evil for writing smut about people I don't know without their permission. But I think that's a feeling most RPFers get from time to time. Suffice to say, it's not stopped me from writing filth.

shame? wot? i don't- *g* heeee. i think it's a way of showing love. creepy fannish love that "real people" are probably better off not knowing about! lol.
At work today, my boss and 2 of my coworkers (boss's son & nephew) were glomping a soccor player from their team who came into the market. the word 'fangirl' popped into my head. then i wondered if they write RPS about said soccor player and his team mates. then my brain was entertained and full of lolz for some time.

Actually, part of the reason I hesitated to get into RPF was that I felt kind of uncomfortable, and no one was willing to talk about feeling that way and getting past it. It was all, "RPF is evil!" or, "What could you possibly feel bad about?" (with a bunch of, "It's legal!", which didn't exactly address ethical discomfort). Finally, I ran into someone who had felt weird, gotten past it, and talked about how she'd done that, and ( ... )

It is hard to find people to talk to about the morals of RPF- but then, it often is with moral issues as both sets of people tend to end up thinking their way as so inherently right that you'd have to be a moron not to see so.
I think my RPF line is probably slashing actors from movies when I could use their characters; it feels okay with comedians and TV hosts who play themselves on the screen, but I don't think I'd go for, oh, Johnny Depp/Jack Davenport when Sparrow/Norrington is a possibility. If that makes any sense?
