The only thing I hate more than recording is recording a piss-poor four-track effort and working on it night-and-day as the deadline precludes more than a few hours sleep a night JUST so we have something to sell on tour.
Got to listen back to some of the tracks we recorded yesterday and my rhythm pick-up is FUCKED, gonna have to pull some serious studio magic to get it to a point where I don't want my name taken off the release. I keep telling myself to be cool about it and that all will be well but I keep getting this horrible feeling that its going to sound like the last e.p. (The only piece of music I'm actually ashamed of.) and I don't think I could handle another train-wreck like that.
Deep breath.
And exhale.
Boy, THAT felt good to get out, I'm sure it'll all be fine.
Ok, maybe not 'sure' but I at least know i'm going to work as hard as I can to ensure it does.
