I'm paying 38 bucks a month for basic liability on a vehicle that is used less than a thousand miles per year. I'm 44 , have a squeaky clean driving record and have maintained insurance for several years. shouldn't my liability rate be something like ten or fifteen bucks a month?

I'm paying about 100 / month for two cars, but I carry more than just basic liability... those are daily drivers, though, and I think they assume 8000 miles a year each. I bet $38 is about in line.

You might want to go with a collector's car insurance specialist. Those guys will sometimes have special rates for VERY low miles per year.
