Apologies LJ, have been really lame about updating but only because have been very busy over the past fortnight. Things are calming down a bit now - will not be doing any more moots for a while thank God!.
Otherwise work on the law continues, as does triathlon training. I am contemplating doing Ironman this year - it is a toss up between doing half-ironman well and concentrating on that, or completing Ironman. The major barrier is the £220 price tag for the UK Ironman which is a lot for a day's race. The main problem from the point of view of training would be the cycling as it requires so much time. If I were able to acquire a turbo trainer (thing you put your back wheel on so you can cycle at home), that might make a bit of a difference, but what would really help is if it stopped raining. Running in the rain I can just about manage, but cycling in the rain is just too awful - and what's more its bad for the bike. I will update at the end of the month to review how training has progressed. Tomorrow I am going to Colchester to investigate a bike, and then hopefully come back and get a run in before going out with a few friends to celebrate one of their birthdays.
Have been listening to a lot of jazz recently, and am hoping to go out and see some soon when I have a free evening. Though with a cross-country race in a fortnight, and one another 2 weeks after that, the time just gets eaten up. Also, have started swimming coaching which is proving very helpful in bettering technique, and am now upping my endurance session distance. Currently at 3km. 4km will put me over the Ironman distance, so all will be well.
Have watched Farenheit 9/11 recently, not very impressed and rather bored. Looking forward to listening to Chems album, Prefuse 73 etc - all should be good. Bedways is rightways now.
