Are they out of their minds? Even with the addition of Delmon Young, it just won't be the same. No Hunter. No Bartlett. No building up Garza. Talks of trading Santana and Nathan. A questionable Liriano. This has been one of the worst weeks of my young life.
In other news, my daughter is now about a foot long, and kicks like a mule. She probably has my tree trunk legs. We have decided to go with the name Annabelle Mae Dayton. This was derived from my late sister's name, which we didn't feel comfortable with choosing. I read to her every night, which gets her all riled up. I am a very proud guy.
I finally closed out my apartment in Minneapolis, and I couldn't be happier to be done with that place. If I had my choice, I would never again cross the border into Minnesota. Too sterile. Too white collar. Too IBS. I far prefer the blue collar, red-necky, empty pocketbook character oozing from Wisconsinites. Great to be home.
My parents bought the old Pike Lake Resort on 144. The place is enormous. Bex and I went there for Thanksgiving, sitting down for the first family holiday since Deanna passed. I am happy to see that my mother is getting closer to retirement. She's got some great ideas on how to live comfortably without having to work another day in her life, and I can't wait to see it happen.
Being married to Bekka is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I can't recall a time in my life that I have been happier. So many toxic relationships and one-nighters had me thinking that I was going to be miserable forever. I guess I never thought that I would be lucky enough to share the rest of my life with my best friend. I hope Annabelle looks like her...until she is old enough to date. Then she can look like me.
Jeb, I am sorry that I haven't gotten in touch with you in the past two days. I have been a bit overwhelmed with my workload, but you will have that bike some time in the near future. I haven't been able to fit it in the Ford, so I will try the Mitsubishi tomorrow, as I know for a fact that the back seat will fold down. You're a pimp for waiting.
