Classes just restarted and I'm already "Blah". This, though, is not due to my classes...at least entirely.
First off, I came back from my Christmas break on December 27th...yes, 27th, two days after Christmas, so I could get a job at Pizza Hut (They said come back early, call when I get here). I call...they have to wait until the 28th for an interview, that's fine. Unfortunately I forgot my medicine so my psorasis flared a little (Amanda eventually brought it on the 1st). I went in for an interview and huh? Unprepared?!? No way! Muncie Pizza hut?! Yeah...so i had to go back the next day. That interview went okay but they still were unable to hunt down the application I had turned in a week or two earlier...
Long story short, I never got a call back. Okay, there is SOMETHING WRONG HERE. I worked at Kendallville Pizza Hut (Sounds Podunk but seriously we are one of the Very VERY top Pizza huts in the nation for profits...yeah...we're busy) for FOUR YEARS and I am unable to get a job at this pizza hut that probably does a 20th of the business...something is SEIROUSLY wrong with them. If you've ever been in there, you'll know that it needs cleaned and straightened up. I must thank them for cutting my Christmas break short...asses.
So I applied at Lowes and I just recently applied for a job at Ball State. I still am without job, which I need...so I don't run out of money by April that needs to last much longer...
Speaking of money, I am already broke. I have 12 dollars in the bank (112 now). I am/was waiting for my loan check...it came two days ago (YAY!) UNFORTUNATELY the assholes have to put a week hold on it! So I am still stuck with 12 dollars. Needless to say, I had to ask Amanda for a loan to pay for rent! So you must be thinking the obvious "Hey, he only has 12 dollars...but school just started...does that mean..."
YES! That means I can afford NONE OF MY BOOKS! I am going to already be behind on readings...I got my one teacher to photocopy today's reading and get it to me 15 minutes before class (yeah, I read 2 chapters (short but still) of text in less than 15 minutes)...but hell there are still 5 other classes I'm taking! Luckily my poetry teacher gave us some poems to focus on in our reading so I could look those up online and read them there...unfortunately I won't be able to read my News201 reading for tomorrow...I hope I don't get called on to answer anything.
Ontop of being unable to afford books, I can't really afford to go buy some more groceries...now I am not going to starve...I have cans of soup/bread/peanut butter/some chicken/yogurt left so I'll be fine until the hold is off, but still...but what does it really matter? Honestly there is absolutely NO ROOM in the freezer for any food that I may purchase. All i have in there is a small bag of chicken patties and ONE super pretzel and the freezer door is already trying to open itself. This is mostly thanks to Mark who, for some reason, has overtaken a good 75% of the freezer...seriously a HUGE box of hamburger patties, 2 pizzas, 2 things of icecream? ...yeah I suppose Johnny really doesn't need room, he's small anyway. Besides! He just stays in his room all the time anyway...who cares if it has anything to do with his room being the only room that is over 60 degrees...I mean what does he really bring to this apartment?...except the fact that if Amanda and I weren't here, this place would NEVER be swept/cleaned.
Alright, so I can't get a job and so I can't afford books or food (even if I had a place to put it) so that's it right?...yeah no.
We have been trying to figure out where to live next year. I would love to just renew my contract here, I get a decent rate and there are many perks--it's a NICE place to live.
Unfortunately my one friend will be moving in with us and he would rather live at his apartment...which is a 15-minute walk from campus...you know so he can walk to campus...that's FINE when it's warm out but you know...the other HALF OF THE YEAR WHEN IT'S FRICKIN FREEZING THAT IS NOT FINE. College Park, on the other hand, gives us a FREE shuttle ride to and from campus, it goes to and from twice an hour and even if you don't catch that, the MITS goes by every 15 minutes. Not to mention we have a good location, we're right across from Wal-Mart, we're a short drive from Meijer, McDonalds/Dairy Queen/Burger King/Pizza Hut/Steak and Shake are a literal walking distance away. Bestbuy is visable from the front office and, weather permitting, it is possible to walk to PetSmart in 5 minutes to see those ADORABLE KITTIes! :-)
...anyway, instead of simply saying "We should move here" and having...you know...concensus...Mark, my one roommmate, tells Brad he'll do whatever he wants to do, Hofer follows because...well if he didn't there would just be him and me here. Sooo those three decide that there is no way that I will give in and found themselves a 3-person apartment...wonderful! I, being the nice guy I am, tell them that's fine and I'll find somewhere to live--God i honestly hope so.
My only real option is to beg that Amanda and her friends find a place with an extra room and they don't mind having me as a roommate (Honestly, I smell good and I am well hygenized ;)). I also asked Vice (roommate last year and friend since i was in 8th grade) what him and his roommates were doing next year, they haven't started looking...I said I was looking for a place to live but he never really answered me...so I don't see that working out.
I really have NO clue what I'm going to do. If it gets down to it, and all my other options fail, my only real options left would be: A. Live here again but with THREE Pot-luck people...that sounds WONDERFUL I'm sure I would get stuck with a huge group of douches. or B. Spend EXTRA money (that I do NOT have) and conceed all of my furniture that I got this year and move back into the dorms into a Single.
I'm glad that Johnny is pretty much expendible.
...really hope something works out.
