Where the hell have I been??!?
I haven't had much of an online presence these past few weeks, so I figured it'd be nice to give you an update.
(Okay, slight lie. I've been online on all of my IM accounts every night, but that's Different, and there's a Reason, and it's left me Very Occupied, but still. )
In any case, I haven't been Brunching and LiveJournaling much these past few weeks, and here's why: Lately, most of said activities were done during down times at work. Now, you may remember me saying that practically everybody had quit on me at work, leaving me all alone. What you might NOT remember is the fact that we were scheduled to move to another location as well.
These past few weeks have been The Move.
Things have been absolutely bonkers for my professional life, as you can well imagine. This severely limited my daytime access, and had the side effect of making me go crazy. Arranging an office move while simultaneously doing the jobs of four people tends to have that effect on me.
The good news is that the move is now (mostly) over, and I have a boss in the office again. He seems like a good guy so far, will eventually take some work over from me, and has already gone to bat for me on several matters. Hooray! Still, I find myself in danger of burnout, and I'll have to be careful (in more ways than one) for the next little while. Sigh. All I'm sayin' is that it better not cut into my Labour Day travel plans.
Speaking of travel, I'm a mobile Canuck this month! Next weekend I travel to La Belle Province to do some sightseeing and meet and greeting, which should be more awesome than you can possibly imagine. I'll put up some kind of a trip report when I'm back (hopefully with pictures, too) so that you all can see me being awesome and happy and lucky. (Is that a mysterious statement? You bet it is!)
Labour Day weekend, I'm flying down to the States for similar reasons - details to come.
