gotta love this country and the world of acadamia
being frustrated.
a country that has practiced genocide in it's establishment. in it's spread. systematicly killing off entire tribes, or at best putting whats left of them in concentration camps on the worst land possible with forced integration of tribes that speak different languages and have different beliefs and ways.
killing off all of ones tribe. until when they find the "last wild man of north america"
Ishi (the wild man)then goes to live in a museum where he finds only 3 men in which he finds to be close friends to live out the rest of his days till he dies.
he is continually put on display (while continually being overprotected) 'allowed' to get a job as an assistant janitor (a job the white folk do not think of as a real job) in the museum he lives in, and an amount of pay each month. making the best of it rather then be all alone in the wild.
one might say they took care of him, and that he was happy...yet if they hadn't killed of his people to begin with do you ever think he'd be there by choice??
