(no subject)
So Sabres Rookie Camp.
Holy crap was it cold inside, lol. I guess I was used to the 90 degrees outside. And I loved the looks I got with my "Buffalo Believe, Now it's our turn" shirt. I CAN AND WILL STILL WEAR IT, kthanks.
2 different rinks made it so hard to watch because I wanted to watch everyone!
Kaleta, Mancari, TJ Brennan, Nathan Gerbe, etc were all on the 1st with Lindy. Stafford, Clarkie, etc on the other with McCutcheon, Corsi and James Patrick.
I felt like I should have brought a notebook, haha.
-Nathan Gerbe is probably the shortest hockey player I have ever seen. But man, he is all over the place... very fast skating, chasing after the puck, and a little hitting. He scored during the scrimmage, he seems like he could fit in. Very good.
-Drew Stafford, Patrick Kaleta and Clarke MacArthur look like veterans. They're helping some of the younger guys, know what they're doing, really trying and having fun. Kaleta was showing more hitting and a little more offensive stuff.
-Dylan Hunter looks and reminds me of Stafford. Fast and has the talent, but wasn't a "finisher" per say...
-Andrew Orpik is a hitting machine. I was afraid the glass would break every time he checked someone. He's not the fastest skater, but that's something he get better at.
Mancari was the kinda sorta the same way, but a little faster.
-TJ Brennan is a fast skater and can really carry the puck, and he's not afraid to hit. He kind reminds me of Tallinder and Campbell together.
-Mike Funk is pretty fast, same with Marek Zagrapan. Zagrapan is a lot bigger I guess- more muscle, and is trying to be more complete.
-Adam Dennis is a pretty strong goalie, same with Nick Eno. Eno had a lot of fivehole shots in but that was just during drills. I didn't see much of the other goalies.
This girl next to me basically jumped Drew Stafford when he was walking to the 2nd rink after the 2st 20 minutes of the scrimmage and asked him to sign her hand.
She also told him he was hot. It's okay if you think that, but if that's the reason you come, please go away. AND DON'T TELL HIM TO HIS FACE, THAT'S WEIRD!!!!!
So many puck bunnies there, it made me sad.
There were a bunch of girls that kept following around Adam Dennis thinking it was Miller when the name pinned to the back of the practice jersey said DENNIS!
I heard it with my own ears and I couldn't believe it at all.
I didn't stop many of the players when they were walking to the locker rooms/other rinks like some people did, I kinda felt like it was rude.
But after the scrimmage Kaleta stopped so my sister and I went over. He is a very nice guy, willing to sign anything, take pictures, smiling the whole time...
Some guy came up to him and was like, "Only a face a mother could love" and he laughed... related I'm guessing?
He was too cute with this little boy in a wheelchair, it was adorable.
I guess when I was at the other rink Clarkie was signing stuff and I MISSED IT. :( Oh well.
Darcy was texting just about the whole time and for some reason my sister and I thought it was absolutely hilarious, hahahahaha.
George Babcock's new name is Porcupine 'cause of his hair.

And what's with all the new and good cd's? SK6ERS, now The Rocket Summer... I'm LOVING it.
