(no subject)
so yesterday, just after i woke up, i went to the kitchen to get a glass of water and when i came back i had a missed call from my boss julie...naturally i was stressed at first because i assumed that she needed me to barback on a monday night...
well, i listened to the message and as it turns out she did need me to work..but not as a barback..she actually asked me to bartend for her last night..
which doesn't really seem like that big of a deal, but it is...
so of course i told her i would and i got myself really psyched up, even though i knew it was just going to be a monday night and we were probably going to be slow and all..
and we were..until about 10...
and then we got our asses handed to us.
but for my first night, i think i did pretty damn well...i've never muddled so much mint, cucumer, strawberries, and raspberries in my life...
today my wrists are so fucking sore...but it was so much fun while it was happening and i walked out last night with $250..
the cocktail waitress told me it was easier working with me than it was to work with the bartender that normally works there, and one of my other bosses, michelle, told me that i did fucking awesome..which is a really big deal coming from her...i think she was the boss i needed to impress the most actually...
