Greetings to all! I finally took everybody's advice and got an LJ. There are you guys happy now?
So I just back from Israel yesterday (and boy are my arms tired) on the 2nd worst airline known to man (that being El-Al. THE worst is Air Canada. Sorry Shawn, but it's true: you canucks can't run an airline.). Oy! Flying wouldn't be so bad if I weren't 6' 4" and never fit into those !@*%#$^@ coach seats made for midgets. Ah well.
It's kinda sad being back here especially with some many of you (as of this post all since I haven't told my yeshiva friends I have one of these yet) being many miles away. Thankfully, progress is being made for me to return for 2-3 weeks during December/January.
I went to my old high school today and volunteered (If my spelling isn't good today, it's from the jet lag. And if that's the correct spelling and I'm just ranting, that's also the jet lag, so shut up) to help at one their summer programs. You maybe thinking: Corey, why don't you get a paying job? Answer: Too lazy, especially with college coming up soon, I don't think I want to do any unnecessary (sp?) work. Actually, I KNOW I don't.
Other than that, things are quiet. I'm enjoying having my brother in town for the next few days for his birthday, and my parents are enjoying just staring at me (I allow this, even encourage this, since it gets me nice food. I LOVE JEWISH MOTHERS). Right now my father is looking for my American cell phone (847-722-1256 if you want to call me. Hopefully, it will be found soon), and having no success. Oh well, at least I sleep on a mattress and not the cardboard yeshiva beds (my back hurts).
I came back to very good news: The Chicago White Sox are now 8 games ahead of Minnesota in their division (YES!!!!), and have the best record in MLB. The Cubs blew their wild-card lead and Toronto sucks (sorry Shawn). What bums me out is that my computer speakers aren't working properly. I turn them on and a minute later it stops working. If anyone has any good ideas, please let me know.
Random news: Resorting mp3s on my iriver, I look good in this hat, Canada has trees and sucks, I like food when it's free, I might get a car (not likely since it needs to fit me), and American TV is good.
