CURRENT TOPIC: Describe a chance encounter that changed your life.

They had first met at a party… a birthday party if he recalled correctly. He still wasn’t sure why he’d gone to the party, but he’d felt the need to make an appearance. The woman throwing the party had been a victim he’d gotten close to, and they had never solved her case so perhaps it was obligation of some sort.
Anyway, the party wasn’t bad until I came across a most beautiful but arrogant and delusional [don’t get mad Helen, it’s what I thought at the time] woman. She claimed to be Helen of Troy and truth be told, I thought she was insane initially. Then she and I started to talk and she is still as beautiful but instead of arrogant and insane? She’s smart and confident; a woman I truly respect and love.
Would I have imagined it this way? Hell no. But I’m glad it worked out like it did because despite the bad times we’ve had, I can’t imagine life without her.
