"Just once?" Munch asked, raising an eyebrow, staring directly at the shrink. "What reason would I have to mock anyone? Sure, I am surrounded by cops who haven't seen quite what I have but that's beside the point. Well, then there's also the fact that I'm being made to attend these meetings with a psychologist who might as well just give it up because they probably need as much help as we all do judging from what's in their file."
For the first time the shrink looked flustered. "How did you get my file?"
"I told you before... big brother... there's too much information out there on all of us. Plus I have a few friends." He paused a moment before continuing, obviously enjoying all of this, especially her discomfort. "Besides, I prefer the word deride... or scorn to mock. Mock makes it sound far too flippant for my taste." He sat back, smirking again.
