Review: Born On A Blue Day

And again this e-mail to LJ feature is coming in handy. I still have no Internet, so I'm writing the entry now and will send it once I reconnect tomorrow. The diagnostics on my computer aren't good either. The tech woman says this laptop is basically toast, and improving it would cost as much as purchasing another one. So I'll see what happens with ( Read more... )

Well, you definitely got me wanting to read the book. I sent off my application for my digital player to the library like two or three weeks ago and I still haven't seen or heard anything back from them. I would have thought they'd have sent me something by now and it's really starting to piss me off cause I'm stuck reading these same four books on my Ipod. Netflix has been keeping me pretty entertained though but I long to get back into my reading, I mean a variety of reading instead of just the same old same. Also, I think there may be other websites where one can write book reviews and possibly get paid for it after like your one-thousandth review or something crazy like that. So yeah, can't wait to start back reading like I used to. Did it take a long time for the library to send you stuff once you sent in your application?
Sorry about your computer. If I end up coming to Durham, I think we only have to pay like ten or fifteen more dollars a month to get a network through Clearwire. This may not be good for you and your finnancial state but if I could help with the rent then maybe you'll have some extra cash to go half on some Clearwire with me. I'm still trying to get my hearing aids stuff straight down here and everything but as I said in my entry, I should know something soon. Aight well good luck with everything and keep reading. I want to read some more reviews so I'll have an idea which books to get when they finally send me my shit. Peace!

Actually, I'd recommend just calling them. I never bothered with an application. If you ask, they'll send it out right away.

And yeah I have more time to read this semester, although I'd better get started on these major projects soon. , I'd recommend just calling the library and asking for it. That's what I did. I ne

HEY JOHN! I couldn't exactly remember the correct spelling of your email address so I had to reply to an old Livejournal comment but hopefully you get this. I need you to email me your mailing address. I have the number to Durham's Special Transportation service and was planning on calling them tomorrow. It's time for me to get back to work if I can cause motherfuckers down here ain't calling me back. It's probably all for the best though. It's getting harder and harder for my relationship to grow down here and the more I'm out of work like this makes me think it's about time I close the door on Lions Services and on Charlotte for now, at least this aspect of Charlotte. Someone commented to me in one of my entries that "Time moves in only one direction so should I." If I can call them tomorrow and get this wheel in motion, I should be coming up there the weekend after next. The plan is to see if I can get back to work by the week of Thanksgiving or the week after and that way I'll hopefully be able to get a check from them at the beginning of December. So, if you could please email me your address and I can get going. Aight, peace.
P.S. I did get my digital player and have already read four books. One book I read three times cause I want to write a book review on it. This is Lush Life and it's by Richard Price, the guy that wrote Clockers. It's not as rivetting as Clockers was, but I like it all right.
