An Idle Mind

Is never a good thing, is it? Man, there just isn't a whole lot to do these days! Just your typical Saturday, I guess.

I think all the main stuff regarding completing my enrollment into grad school is done, thankfully. I had someone help me fill out the paperwork on Thursday and put the whole mess in the mail. Once that is confirmed, I will finish applying for the scholarships for which I was recommended. The process is endless, I'm sure. But if it gets my life going again, I'll be the better for it.

Today I sat outside in the sun until the wind got too fierce. I smelled the pleasant scent of charcoal drifting in on that wind, and was very much wishing I could get over there and steal me a sandwich. I don't think I went to a single cookout last year. That will definitely have to be rectified this summer.

Lately, I've been enjoying a podcast I found around Christmas called A Road Retraveled, which I'm surprised to discover I hadn't written about before. I came across it via Twitter, and the host, who's name is Simone, is fun because she'll sit and tweet with you too. She primarily talks about visits to New York, Florida, and Italy. I just enjoy learning about the history of those places, as well as having the sights described to me. It's a video podcast, so certainly eyes will get more out of it. But it's doable for a blind person as well.

And now the dog is barking because somebody's out there, but I'm not going to see who. I know my cousins are in the living room, and if they don't care who's tehre I most certainly don't. I know it's no one for me.

And welcome to blindguy02. Enjoy your stay, and thanks for coming onboard. I can't get that e-mail messaging system to work, as when I write something there they just seem to disappear. No idea why that is, either.

travel, podcasts, weekend, welcome, grad school
