Oh, The Heaven!
Well, today has turned out fantabulous! So what that's not a real word, its one of my favorite hybrids.
As we all know, my wonderful job required that I take today and tomorrow off, so I spent it doing lots of reading. I stayed up until almost 3 this morning prodding my way forward in the book, but you know with this wonky (that word just amuses me!) display, the progress was a bit slow. I had intended to plug my Pac Mate in and recharge it, as the battery was reporting only 2% of life left, but we all know my mind doesn't work in the early hours.
After having a sleep filled with stranger and stranger dreams (I really should capture them upon awakening), I went outside with the machine in hand to do yet more reading. Yet when I turned it on, I heard that dreaded low battery sound, so I had to go back in and give it fifteen minutes on the current before I could do anything with it. During this time, I felt the temperature rise from cold enough to numb my hands to something that felt wonderful, especially sitting right under the sun. I think it may have cracked mid 60's? Not sure though. I don't want to check the forecast either, because I know that at this time of year, the weather can be as fickle as, well, a Charlotte sports fan! (And yeah I'm picking on myself, but that's allowed.)
Once I got it to working again, I kept on reading, now I'm very close to the end of the book. I should probably finish it tonight, if I decide to watch football I'll be up late doing so, but of course it won't matter.
I'm getting a bit peeved, because Freedom Scientific said they sent me a copy of Jaws 8.0 last Monday and I have yet to get my Cd! I just want the voices, so I can see how they sound.
And funny littlefroggy, we were just talking about our mutual love for pasta. Well, today I had a giant slab of absolutely delicious lasagna, corn and garlic bread! I ate it a bit too early though, and will be starving by 8:00. I don't yet know what I'm going to do about that, but something will be figured out.
