Chinese New Year
I have just sat outside for the last half hour or so and watched the fireworks signaling the start of Chinese New Year. They must have been co-ordinating the set up very well, as I live across from a rather large park, there was fireworks at each end alternating in the pattern. It was beautiful to watch. Tomorrow I will go into China town (in Brisbane) to watch the Dragon dances and more fireworks/crackers (for good fortune) and end up in Southbank (a part of Brisbane) for Australia Day celebrations. I think I will be having a very good time from the crack of dawn to well into the night. Probably only have a couple of drinks.
The only down side of partying so late is that I have to be up very early the next day to start work at 6 am.
