Republican talking points I hate
"This is a scandal that Gonzales resigned. He was a victim of partisanship! No one has been able to prove he did anything illegal in the firing of the attorney generals or in the NSA wiretap program!"
Me: Wait a second. There's no evidence because Gonzales can't remember anything, emails that, by law should have been backed up, have gone missing, documents requested to verify facts are not turned over by a vice-president who claims to be outside the constitution - and the testimony of everybody that *has* been honest has painted Gonzales as a guy who went to people on their death bed to overturn constitutional authority and likely broke the law - and the only reason why we don't have evidence is because the people who have it are refusing to obey the law!
