Why I support the Wii friend codes

Every time there's an article about some new game coming out for the Wii, the first comment I see is somebody bitching about friend codes.  "Why do I need friend codes?  Why does Nintendo have to such hand holding crap?  I'm an adult, damn it ( Read more... )

See, I'd like the friendcodes if they were tied to the console, and not per-game, like the DS.

Because then I've got to go through all my games individually to friend them all up with one person. Which is a pain in the butt >:(

*That* one I'll go for. My understanding is the Wii is console specific (except for Pokemon Stadium, since that's a DS/Wii game), but -

If that was the way they'd done it, I would be right there with you, mah homie. Maybe with a random opponent without voicechat option, because sometimes you just need to kick ass and take names from people you just don't know. :V

I hope the nintendo one is Per-Console. I think it is, but I don't have any online games yet. (I think my first one'll be Brawl. Or Stadium when it goes cheap. Whichever one comes first).

I want to see how Mario Strikers works - but since I've still got Okami out as a rental, it'll have to wait until I get back from my vacation, I guess.

I hope it's good; I might pick it up eventually. :V

I just picked up Super Paper Mario for the Wii, and it is so adorable.

It's got the sneaky kind of humor in it adults get, while still being funny to kids, to boot.
